Scott started his martial arts journey in 1992 and has'nt stopped training ever since. In 2007 he became the first foreigner in mainland China to open and 100% own a residential martial arts school - RDS!
After 15 consecutive years of training in China Scott now splits his time between China, Lapland, and Barbados where he continues to train and pass as much of his knowledge on as possible!
Scott has vast knowledge of Taiji not only for its many health benefits but also the martial aspect of it too which is of equal importance to fully grasp the art and understand it.
His Qigong practice started in 2003 when Scott first arrived in China, lucky enough to have met great masters whom were willing to pass on their knowledge. Over the years while in China Scott has continued to learn and practice many Qigong routines including static, moving, advanced hard qigong, and even medical Qigong.
Scott started daily stretching at age 10 along with his martial arts training, taking his flexible and supple body into adult life he first attended a Hot Yoga class in 2012, instantly falling in love with Asana practice he continually kept up his Yoga learning in China, Thailand and Nepal delving further into other aspects of Traditional Hatha and Astanga Yoga, Pranayama, Mudra-Bandhas, Anatomy and Yoga Philosophy. Since 2013, every morning without fail Scott spends 20 minutes chanting various Sanskrit Mantras.
Scott beleives Taiji, Qigong, Pranayama and Asana share similar principles and so he mixes them together at points throughout his classes giving you a unique experience you're unlikely to find anywhere else!
